Ethan doesn't hear anything for three days. Everyday he walks over to the tree-hoping maybe somehow Tobin will come back. But on the third day...on the third day things are...different. >:)
And that's when he sees it-Tobin laying on the ground-he's cut up and bruised but surprisingly, nothing seems broken-he just looks like he's had the living shit beaten out of him. He's deathly pale, and unconscious-and his wings and halo are noticeably missing, leaving nothing but cold dead air in the space where they used to be.
