(Ok so basically-when a witch turns 21 they partake in a summoning ritual, during which they summon a low level demon who will grant them one which before becoming the witches familiar(Sorta like yam for reference-) and staying with them for life. Unfortunately, when a young witch botches the ritual, accidentally summoning the demon king, he decides to punish her by making her his familiar instead.)
