Ok, spoilers for echo and the first build of arches, so click read more if you’re ok with that
Since the voice in Chase’s head says it’s not as much as a ghost of Sam but something like a tulpa, despite it clearly not being summoned by someone like in the case of dark Chase (jenna’s route when digging up Sam’s corpse).
I wonder if they’re eventually going to pull a “roll credits” kind of thing and call that type of phenomena that occurs in Echo, like what Cameron can percieve and Janice thinks is because of the quartz deposits that absorb bad vibes and play them back (like she says in TJ’s route when telling stories), “echoes”.
It makes sense to me in a way, this sort of thing is always described as a “stain from the past” or a “lingering sin on the land” or something of the sort, so it wouldn’t be crazy if they went and call it an echo.
