She smirked and started kicking her on the ground and Delilah started screaming in pain and her mother just kept going, everyone heard the screams and were scared some were even crying. Delilah was screaming and crying she kept screaming 'mom, please!' But her mother didn't stop she just kept kicking her and punching her and beating her with the stick that she always had.

She watches in horror as her dad destroys all of her treasures, all of the things she worked so hard to get. Finally, he destroys the painting of Delilah, blowing it into pieces. Pearl collapses over the pieces, sobbing. Her dad looks at her with a hint of regret before swimming off, leaving Pearl sobbing over the wreckage.
