She gets home without the tiara not making eye contact, her mother came to her room to talk about some stuff amd she saw there was no tiara so she started yelling at Delilah and Delilah was not phased.
"I AM YOUR MOTHER AND I'VE HAD THAT TIARA SINCE IT WAS GIVEN TOO ME FROM MY MOTHER AND YOU JUST LOSE IT LIKE THAT YOUR SHOULD BE ASHAMED-"
And that's when Delilah's mother slapped her and she fell to the ground and
"Ah-um, I-I was j-just...h-headed to the kelp gardens! I um...I was-going to take a stroll!"
???: "Your father is quite concerned...you missed morning meals, everyone was wondering where you might be."
"W-well there's no need to worry, I was just-tending to the reef..."
???: "Interesting...your sisters were there, and none of them reported seeing you."
"W-well-um-"
???: "Your father would like a word with you."
