He flinched when he heard his name.

He looks...so fragilely hopeful.

He had begun to shake, inching away

He started to cry.
"R-Really...w-we're gonna see the h-h-h-horizon together r-right..."
He stops, going perfectly still, and just-stares at him

He couldn't speak anymore, all that was coming out were sobs
