Teddy questions the workers and they dont take it seriously. He later questions the inmates therapy group and us told that the therapist isnt there. He’s also on a quest to find someone named Andrew Laddis who set fire to his house and murdered his wife. But in Teddy’s dreams of his wife. She was soaking wet as if she had taken a swim fully clothed and she was bleeding out from her stomach. Not usually something youd get from a fire. Strange.
the island is surrounded by ocean and theres a seperate part of the island closed off from the rest. A lighthouse that was never on. Anyway. He questioned one of the members of the group therapy and asked a question about where Andrew Laddis was. The woman wrote a secret message telling Teddy to RUN something strange was going on. This psychiatric facility was hiding something and Teddy was gonna get to the bottom of it
Teddy is a detective. Suddenly missing inmate just appears. Apparently she was just out for a stroll. Then there was a storm si Teddy had to stag down in the safe base with everyone else. He used the chaos to get to the ward where the worst people are kept and almost kills someone. So he takes a stroll through the ward and one of the people there says it’s Teddy’s fault. What though? Teddy the reason this guy us in jail? He then reveals that this whole thing was a plan made just for Teddy. Just for him. And his sk called partner Chuck who was acting a bit strange for a detective that has been doing this line of work for 3 years was a part of it. So Teddy tries ro get to the lighthouse to no avail and when he gets back to the cliff where he left Chuck he us gone so he climbs down the cliff and tries to find Vhuck only to find the missing inmate. But she looked fine. She wasnt crazy and she was on the run. She tells Teddy teh truth that none if this was real. You see Teddy used to be jn an army during a war that changed history. He was on the good side. But he kept having visions of this little girl he couldnt save from death. And Teddy was being brainwashed into going crazy so he could be put into one of their wards. So the next day Teddy swims to the lighthouse takes out a guard and takes his gun. Teddy goes to the top where the person who owns the place says “baby. Why’re you all wet?” It makes Teddy’s head hurt slightly for some reason. Teddy says he knows they preform lobotomies to control these people on the island. After a whole scene where Chuck reveals he was the therapist for the so called missing inmate. And the missing inamte was never a thing in the first place. There was a67th inmate in question which indeed was Andrew Laddis but Teddy was Andrew. Teddy’s wife drowned their children so teddy shot his wife. After a recovery. Teddy talked to the head therapist. And said “We gotta get off yhis island Chuck.” He shook his head to some people on the side and Andrew looked at the therapist shake his head. He then said “you know... this place makes me wonder... is it better to die a good man or live knowing you’re a monster.” Then git up and folliwed the people to the lighthouse willingly and the therapist realised that he was faking not knowing that he killed his wife and omg this moment was so sad and the movie just enddddssss
