Essentially, first complete the werewolf quests. Then the option to find Caleb will begin in your log.If you're not at the werewolf quests yet, then keep doing Bareshade plot and it'll pop up.

40 like isn't optional as it says. Once you have 40 like and sleep in the bed you should move on to to the next step
You should have 3 hearts with Bernard. If you chose Logan in werewolf path, you can still get 3 hearts with Bernard by going to the Cottage every friday night.
