Some thoughts:
The movement is still a bit buggy, but better. You can get stuck just digging straight down, it won't count as mining so you'll just sit there. Moving sideways sometimes helps, but not always and it isn't always available, but bombs do work. I've also seen lava not do anything as long as you don't touch it long.
One of the terrain colours later on is red, the same red as the lava, which probably is intention, but still worth noting.
Lava doesn't kill later on it just takes oil, but it gets so common so I like that it doesn't.
