The game is an emotional rolercoaster indeed. I hope you read the warning saying that it's not suitable for children and poeple that are easily disturbed. Doki Doki Literature Club is my favorite game of this genre of all times lol.
I did read the warning. I guess I was just caught off guard by how abruptly it took a turn and didn't expect it to actually hit home so jarringly.
