Hi, I just tried it your tool . loved it very much great job. just wandering since i have huge jav database is there any chance in the future to develop the option to uncatalog or a at least to remove the main videos from the folder after we catalog it? since i quite often upload jav to private trackers and most of them with requirement of the video files it self no other stuff like nfo, etc.

Hi,
It's likely possible, but I'd need to know more about what your asking. So you want to catalog a video, then remove the catalog information (presumeably after you saved that information to somewhere else)?

If your just looking for a way to clean your videos, then it could be done for sure! I just need to prioritize feature requests since my time is limited. Once I get some Patreon work out of the way (eg. Updating subtitle definitions to newer version, release new early access editions, etc), I might be able to see what I can do.

Let me know in more detail what your looking for and I'll see what I can come up with.

Thank you for responding, what i mean is normally when i download/upload in private trackers JAV movies I only requiring the video files only and at most only the screen cover/thumbnail video sheet without allowing nfo files, etc. So for example Movies Files IPZ-001 only. After using you tools cataloging in comes with other several files right, then if i want undo the cataloging goes back as before the catalog can it be done? I am not in a hurry when you have a time to do that after clearing up your patreon work thanks. Btw I am considering doing patreon your work, what other content there beside the subtitle?

Hi again,

Thanks again for the kind words. Ah, ok. If you just want to roll back your cataloging and remove all images, NFO files, etc, that should be possible. I think the user-case for this might be limited however, since on most operating systems (eg Linux, Mac, etc) you can make symlinks to files in diffrent locations. So if you wanted to host files for seeding, you could do so. But because adding a "clean" function potentially has other benifits, I'll put it on my list. :-)

As for Patreon, you can look up my page to see the benifits. But in short, depending on the donation amount, you may get the following: Subtitle definition updates, priority support for issues/problems, priority support for feature requests, a platform for helping to guide the project where you'd like to see it, early access to new versions (Ie. downloading and decrypting from R18 went early access), your username and special message added to Jav-It, and more!  I always prioritize Patreon work ahead of other things, so if you have something you'd like looked at sooner rather than later, being a Patreon subscriber definately helps. All donations I receive go directly back to support this project. That is to pay for: software licences, test accounts (for developing new features), research, project emergencies, or just a cup of coffee for late night programming sessions. :-) To be perfectly honest, I wasn't even sure if people would care if I released this project or not. Since I'm doing this completely on my own time and expense, donations simply act as an honest indicator of how many people appreciate the work and how much effort I should continue to put into it. (^_^);

awesome, will seriously considering patreon and maybe have another feature request that this tool can cataloging not only mp4 files but also other video files like wmv mkv, avi, etc. Will also will try advertise your tools in a private tracker that specialize in JAV content

Hi again,

In regards to cataloging other video files, this can totally be done! Right now it only picks up MP4, AVI, and MKV files because those are the most popular formats for high quality video.

Can you confirm that MP4, AVI, and MKV work for you? If not that's totaly a bug which I can fix! For others like WMV, I can definately add support for it. Let me know what you find and I'll see what I can do. Also, if you know a list of video formats you think is common let me know and I can try to add which ones I think are relevent at the same time.

i will try again, just triedi dont cant remember which video files many older movies especially from legendary actresses is wmv should if it can be recognized that would be awesome , btw what source database your catalog comes from is it R18 only or with JAVlibrary as well?

Hi again,

Right now R18 is considered the ultimate source of truth since it is the most complete. Perhaps in the future it  could use DMM or another website as an automatic secondary source, but right now it just uses R18.

Edit: And yep, I'll add WMV support in the next version for you! Full disclosure: It might take some time to trickle down since I need to give Patreon supporters first dibs to the latest versions. (^_^);

No problem thanks

Developer

Just wanted to let you know that a new version has dropped which now supports WMV, MOV, and TS files for cataloging. Enjoy!

awesome thank you very much
