I've combed through the FAQ, but have no resolution for this issue. I changed nothing in Steam or in my NT files, but NTT suddenly is not included content when I launch the game. (My buddy is experiencing the same issue.)
Basically, we can't make Nuclear Throne work. This is my attempt to get it working.
I fully uninstalled, both in Steam and in Windows 'Add or Remove Program' Control Panel screen, my then-current version of NT.
I re-installed NT.
I downloaded the most recent Nuclear Throne Together .zip file. (9900)
I extracted it into C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Nuclear Throne
I see all the files in this folder.
Per the NTT ReadMe, I launced NTT-Assemble.exe
The result is this command prompt.
I searched through the local files quite a bit, albeit without performing any high-level extraction of other files' info, and did not find any semblance of "data.win". Buddy also has no trace of data.win.
So then I went to Steam > Library > Right-click Nuclear Throne > Properties > Local Files > click Verify Integrity Of Game Files...
Checks out.
Running NTT-Assemble.exe again produces the same command prompt return, as seen above.
Doing so also produces, as expected, an additional nuclearthrone.exe with a timestamp. However, it does not replace the extant nuclearthrone.exe file.
Launching the game from this timestamped .exe file does not launch a version of the game with NTT.
Launching the game via the PLAY button in steam does not launch a version of the game with NTT.
I am Jack's lack of direction going forward. Please send help.
