If you have privacy concerns that's one thing, but it was another entirely when you said (and I quote) "it wants me to let Itch take over my Steam account and steal my info", which is complete and utter nonsense and is only something someone would say due to ignorance of not understanding what openID is or how it works. If you don't want to do it because you are overly paranoid that is your prerogative, but it is a requirement if you want to be provisioned a Steam key for the game from Itch.io.

Yes, of course I was exaggerating, but I don't want my privacy invaded, which is my right. Feel free to downvote me and call me paranoid, but paranoia is what keeps me safe on the internet. If more people were what you call 'paranoid' and I call 'careful', then the internet would be a lot safer. As for the requirement that I must sign into my Steam account through itch in order to get a Steam key from them, that should have been mentioned from the start and then I wouldn't have touched this deal. 'Owning' the game on Steam is a meaningless concept anyway, you don't 'own' it even if you have a key. Just think of your Steam games as 'rentals' that they can repossess any time they want to, and good luck to you trying to get them - or often your whole account - back. So I'm out fifty cents, which won't kill me, Pity it didn't go to the developer and not to itch. I'm also out of here, so carry on with the downvoting and name-calling, it doesn't bother me at all. :-) This community is like most game communities, one just shakes off all this stuff and moves on. Thanks very much to Paperash for the giveaway, it's appreciated.
