If you really want to know, yes you are indeed wrong. Usually VNs are meant to be especially interactive to form a story after your imagination. However, lately newcomers to the FVN world have been more focused on story than how many different choices the player can make that matter. My favorite FVN at the moment for example, Pervader, barely has any choices you can make, at least so far, but the story itself is highly engaging. (The artstyle is awsome too) If you don't like reading long introductions, details regarding the plot etc. pp., you won't be satisfied with the latest FVNs. Of course there will always be exceptions.
How do I know this? Well, just look at my profile and you will most definetly understand. I noticed you registered not long ago, so you are likely to not have too too much experience in playing FVNs. Would you like me to pick out FVNs which are more interactive than others, Four Letter Word for instance? And do you appreciate romance over sex? Answer only in case you're comfortable~
