A large purple portal opens up in the sky, energy radiating from it. A girl falls out, screaming at the top of her lungs. Her wings are ablaze, fire trailing from them. For a moment she looks like a shooting star.
She falls on the leaves with a sickening crunch, wings splayed out behind her. They're charred and bent at weird angles, completely unusable. They flutter once, helplessly, before going completely still.
