is there any way to get the spicier versions without paying monthly? a one time payment would be manageable but paying monthly via patreon isnt really possible for me

You could pledge via patron, download the games, then cancel the subscription. It would effectively operate like a one time payment type deal. Of course if you want the newer versions when they release then you will have to drop another 10$ each time you do this but if you can't afford monthly but can afford once every couple of months or so then that should be your best bet.
