You and the other man (who i can best assume is a friend of yours) are hiding inside a house playing this board game. Why hiding inside the house? Because there is a war outside (which also explains why there are bombs exploding). And when someone starts banging the door, it's a soldier who is likely hostyle. And right when they are about to bust in, your friend holds your hand and gives you a melancholic smile, knowing that these are the final moments in your and his life. Bittersweet.
