(OK-so for context-basically Kaz's contract has rules, the number one rule being that he can't fall in love with a mortal, else the contract will be broken and he will lose his immortality, being permanently trapped on Earth. Kaz told Sam he loved him before Klaus took him away, which is in fact true, he loves Sam a lot-but now he doesn't have his powers, not that he'd use them against Klaus anyway, and is trapped.)
