Maybe have the Mom mention that she is going to be exercising and will have a deliverance of energy drinks, and the MC decides he wants to find either the energy drinks to tamper with before she gets them (time related) or find her open laptop and order an aphrodisiac with the drinks so that the exploration elements are better rewarded and the exercise bike scene is fleshed out? I don’t know, this was a very specific idea and probably requires more work than it is worth
