I am talking about the basic bots not the crude bots i made a metal gear but it didnt work

Basic gears require a wood router to be made. Metal gears currently have no use.

Yea, the option is in Wood Router.   They require a single plank like the Crude version, so you can recycle a bot and build an upgraded version :-D

It's really better to just skip crude bots and build these from the start.  I can imagine them becoming more expensive in the future or using more materials...something to separate the two in terms of material cost.
