I've had this game for around 2 months, and just today I had the problem where my application wouldn't open. now every time I download it, it forcefully removes the file and I cant do anything. what can I do to fix this?
I don't know what is forcefully removing it. On my HP laptop, as I download it, it looks relatively normal, as it shows it downloading it on the bottom of my screen. Once it finishes downloading, I go to click it so I can extract the file and get to the Among Us application. As I go to click it, it becomes 'unclickable' and pops up as removed. It disappears from my recent downloads.
The application is not in my recent downloads. As I download the zip file, it pops up there once it's finished, and then around 2 or 3 seconds later, it literally disappears. At this point I am not sure if it's a problem with the download and application itself, or my computer, since others are able to at least download and open the application.
I looked at all the possibilities in my antivirus program, including history and ways to stop blocking file downloads, but nothing is forthcoming, unfortunately. I wasn't able to add the file to pass through the antivirus check since the file doesn't exist in my laptop in the first place. I tried prematurely opening the file as it downloaded, but upon 'opening' the file, it just gives me a notice saying that my access request is denied. As far as my laptop is concerned apparently, the file does not exist. Thank you for your help so far; if it comes down to it I'll probably contact a tech support place to see what's up.
it's easy if you're on mobile but for pc (im on windows)
you need to download it again, then it opens a folder. click the among us folder, and it's gonna ask you to extract something. press extract or something similar, and it's gonna extract. after that, it brings you to a bunch of things, and one of them is among us. click that and then it should be fine. the only thing i've found out is that it doesn't work from the actual game, you need to launch it from the folder.
