I thought I had applied the discount but it didn't seem to carry through and I got charged full price.

I just had the same problem. I don't know what time zone they're operating out of, but it's still the 22nd in the US. I expect that the $4.99 deal be honored.

Had to transfer money from my bank account to my paypal account (i dont have/want a credit card and apparently paypal excludes paying via direct debit on itch.io), but that was a few hours too late, sale ended before i could buy it. :(
