Does choosing right, forward, or left do anything in the hallway scene?
Yes. When Silas first takes you to the admin office there is narration that states which order is the correct order (in reverse). If you navigate successfully, you will meet Reth first, if you navigate incorrectly you will meet Orion first. Depending on who you meet first, the dialog can change slightly.
