I did this in my spare time. I also spent a TON of time watching tutorials as I was a complete beginner going into this. Making simple games like this is something I'd like to make a hobby out of :)
So you knew nothing of unity or C# at all? O.O Then I must say I'm even more impressed XD
I think making small games like this will give you a lot of experience. Though if you are doing this as a hobby, then the most important thing is that you enjoy doing it :)
