If you have ideas for how to play TSW during social distancing, we’d love to hear them
I don’t have money for the game rn, so i’m just guessing, but
you might be able go to specific coordinates & take location-tagged selfies or use a group chat app in those places to play.
Your selfies’ coordinates should be spaced so that when you poke a hole through each of the stars in a picture of your constellation and then take that holey picture and place it over a map, each one of the holes you made should be filled by one of your locations on that map of whatever place
- neighbourhood
- (yard)
- city
- (address)
- continent
- (geo coordinates)
- star system
- (radial ascent declination)
- universe
- (toroidal flux attenuatron)
you have in common*.
Taking it 1 step further^:
- Plot out these points yourself on your favorite map.
- look up the street addresses on these points.
- Send a letter to each of these addresses. Your letter should
- be addressed to a residence
- invite whoever lives there to play Stars with you
- include either instructions to play Stars or a link to an address for online play
- like the link to the reply to this comment that reads “Constellations’ Organized-Online Play (CO-OP)” .
- be addressed to either the star’s name associated with that address or the word Star or something else like that.
Further beyond:
- Get on your bike and ride to one of the places you found using the instructions above.
- Record your thoughts here in a
- selfie video
- handwritten letter
- messaging app
- sidewalk-chalk drawing outlining and spiralling away from your feet
- omnichrome phylacteric deflator
- After you have visited each location:
- take the instrument with which you recorded all these thoughts
- seal it in a container
- tape 3 different colored strips of duct tape to the container.
- to each strip of tape add a new 1 from a list of the following:
- the constellation’s name
- the date your project ended
- the insignia of your avatar
- a phrase in a language that isn’t your native one
- the last food you ate
- Find a place to leave this container.
- Live the rest of your life.
- In your will, write someone’s name, a comma, and then “who always asked to best questions, i leave in your care this container. May it give you more.”
