Korg is in the zone called 'Northcrest's Caves', which is past the 'Forest Path' zone.
You can find him via navigating the dungeon in there - make sure you have a light.
After freeing him, you can invite him to your home. If you sent him off instead then I'm actually not sure what happens as I've never done that, haha.
