My apologies, I meant redistribute. But, to answer your question, I do understand where you are coming from, itch.io is a great game distribution  source and I have no intents on taking its place. I merely want a more accessible and  straight forward way of downloading and playing these games. I am not 100% certain as to how I want to proceed with the project, as in the overall workings of the system, but I know for a fact that I want underrated developers to get their games into the hands of the people who want to play them.

My only real gripe against itch.io in the game playing aspect is that, in my opinion, there are too many steps too playing these games. If I were to create a launcher, all the users would have to do is click a download button, wait for the game to download and install, and the go on their way playing their games, whilst keeping access to them contained in a single program, not just digging through folders for the executable or filling folders with shortcuts. I understand that the nature of game development somewhat restricts a developers capabilities of having those kinds of things. I merely want to create a launcher somewhat like steam, just without the steam account restrictions and the various DRM heavy requirements.

Hope that clears things up a little bit!

https://itch.io/app, based on what you.ve said you probably didn't know itch.io has its own launcher
