Also is the program supposed to download as an rar file? For me it's downloading as an application that neither my mac (nor I) can identify.

I should start by saying I sadly have zero understanding of Mac os sadly <.< But it should be downloaded as a zip file. Then export the folder inside onto your desktop or somewhere fitting.

From there I don't think the game shows a client/app to open? Maybe it just doesn't for me with Windows os. It's worth a shot, but did you give this fix a try? (We've had other Mac users have success with this.)

Download fix command: Here

Place "Fix_Permissions.command" file in same folder as "tyranoscript.app" then double click it. (possibly right click or ctrl+click and choose open)

In terminal you need to give the script +X permission to run.

Sorry, I'm not sure you understood. That troubleshooting step is exactly what I tried and it does not work for me. I downloaded the  "Fix_Permissions.command" file but there is no folder with a "tyranoscript.app" in it that I can find so I have no place to put the  "Fix_Permissions.command" file.  I can download the "Messy_Acadamy_Reboot" file just fine and it downloads to my desktop as a folder containing a credits.html file and an unknown program icon that will not open.

I feel that there is some critical step or program I am missing in order to run the game.

Sorry for the misunderstanding! >.< Just to be completely sure. Have you tried putting the "Fix_Permissions.command" file into the game's folder? (The folder with credits.html file and the unknown program icon)

Might be silly to ask that, when you did or do put the "Fix_Permissions.command" file into the game folder. Try to double click that command to run it or right click and/or ctrl+click and choose open on "Fix_Permissions.command"

(optional: If that doesn't start the game, make sure in terminal that command has +X permission to run. Then try opening/running "Fix_Permissions.command"

If all else fails above after opening "Fix_Permissions.command" then try to possibly open the unknown program icon instead if the above with the command was done right.

(Sorry if it's a lot of trouble to go through, this might be stuff you've already did or tried and if so do let me know. I can try to reach out to "Ben" on our discord and ask them if there's a critical step missing to get things working. I wish I had more personal support myself with Mac os or understanding. >.< )
