Hello Joe!

A comprehensive list sounds fantastic but also intimidating. Would there be a way to figure out which of these texts might be more useful to the average / non-academic creator?

Thanks,
Thomas

This is a very good question, and one I’ve struggled with a whole bunch. I’ve begun tagging them to make searching easier (e.g. “History (Analog)” and “History (Digital)” are separate categories), but really I should also begin labeling them with something like conceptual difficulty? It’s a hard thing to gauge, and also a task beyond my current capabilities as I’ve probably read no more than 75 of the books out of nearly 500. But I would love to hear suggestions and happily invite collaborators if anyone sees a book on the list they’ve read and would like to somehow rate or provide feedback on!

Maybe I'm going against your intention with the project but even 75 books is years and years of study so just that list would probably be more than enough for this jam. And it sounds easier to accomplish than 500!

Haha you may be right. Well I'll get started on working through those I've read and hopefully have a kind of shortlist available within the larger document, maybe as a separate Excel sheet for easy reference.
