It's an odd detail to start a comment on, but I absolutely love the ground textures with their weird swirly textures. Weird in a good sense, I mean. Visually the game is striking. And the music is great! Combat is tough (I ended the first game having acquired the sword and fire tome in addition to hammer), but the generous checkpoints make it not feel overly punishing. I accidentally killed the first NPC I came across in the first playthrough, so I fully intend to come back and try to experience some different choices. (Small note: I did end up somehow finding edges of the map in the eastern red area.)
