The core gameplay loop is actually really fun! It's clearly more of a mechanics test than anything and I was tinkering around with it pretty idly at first, but I found myself getting surprisingly invested. The balancing act of being both the shopkeeper and the dungeon boss is a really interesting tension. You don't want the heroine to WIN, but you don't want her to run out of energy or get obliterated on level 1 because then you don't get any crafting materials. That means you need to balance the encounter so she kills 2 or 3 of your monsters but not all 4. Then you have the potions and the upgrades, which make the heroine stronger and reduce her purity.I gave the heroine the winged helmet pretty early to make sure she could get through a couple levels and get me more materials, but as she got stronger I found myself having to scramble to catch up. It's a game where you can't really just grind things out and make it simple and easy, and I really like that. There's obviously some balancing issues and the graphics are placeholders, but there's the seed of a really solid game in here.
