I just played through the demo, and it’s amazing. Literally. And I have a few questions right off the bat:

Please forgive my ignorance, but when can we expect the next update? I’m not rushing you, but I just want to let you know how much interest and excitement you’ve sparked in me-I couldn’t tear myself away.

Another question: what will the high difficulty level consist of, aside from more challenging escapes?

The third is more of a wishful thought on my part, but I’d love to see a lot more bad endings. To give you an idea, when I saw that we had handcuffs and a gag in our inventory, I thought we could play out a scenario where the heroine decides to fool around and ends up unlocking a new ending that way. Or, for example, when we finally unlock Cell No. 2, after all the humiliation, I thought there’d be a chance to take revenge by giving in to anger-for which the heroine would pay the price later. Etc. I really missed having bad endings.

With all that said, I’m really looking forward to a new update-maybe some comments about future plans so I know what to expect next-and I hope the new update with the Discord server comes out soon.

Hi there, thanks for playing i'll try and answer all of your questions, so regarding updates i do dev logs every sunday on my patreon and also subscribestar, those are generally just updates for stuff ive been working on, the general direction, also stuff like polls (i've started polling BDSM scenarios on there for things people want included) as for game updates that's a little more complicated, there is a planned update which will be released soon but that will be the same demo with a lot of QoL updated and bug fixes, and just generally polished a bit more, there will probably be a longer more fleshed out Demo for the steam release, mostly because it takes so damn long to get approved on steam that i will have worked on a lot more of the game before then, development is going a lot faster though now and while i cant promise a complete game overnight i can say that you wont be waiting forever

On that same note the dificulty has been updated so you can have easy or hard mode and it effects the scaling of the escape games, this is optional but a lot of people were asking for easier or harder escape scenario's, there's also been some more optimizations in the escape system

The bad endings are something i will do a LOT more of, i hate it when it just says game over in a video game so i figured that for every single game over in Escape from Blackwood manor i could have a cutscene play out and have all of them be different, some of the bad endings may turn into "Bad Routes" but no spoilers, same with the Beatrice encounter seems everyone wants to stick it to her and i cant spoil but there will be a few different ways that will play out

Still working on Discord, been a bit preoccupied working on the next section of the game at the moment so haven't had time, thanks for messaging always welcoming feedback

And thank you so much for your work. Honestly, finding your game through a random search felt like incredible luck-like discovering a diamond amidst ordinary things. I really want to praise the way you handle facial expressions and cinematic presentation; the unique staging and the expressiveness shown during dialogue and object interactions were truly captivating. You are very talented.
I also just thought of another question: will it be possible to roleplay as a foolish masochist or a sarcastic sadist? When Cat barked or said "I belong to you," I felt a strong urge to lean further into playing a weak, pathetic masochist. Conversely, when we told that bitch off, I wanted to continue playing a proud, sarcastic Cat. I know she has her own unique personality, but having the option for that kind of roleplay would really enrich the game.

Thanks I really love making expressive characters and will continue to do so for the main game which ive pretty much been working on every day now, cant spoil any story elements yet but you'll see soon enough there will be a lot of different choices you will be able to make in game, i am just getting started out and don't really have much of an online presence when it comes to this so i'm glad people are finding my game and enjoying it, more updates coming soon
