ran it cold. got caught at 100% on a regular footsteps ("the door opened on 3 things out of place. work was at 100%.").
the loop is clean and the desk fiction carries it. two notes:
1) the figure at the window is your best idea and the most under-told. it pops for a few seconds with "it's just standing there" and tapping it gives +5 work but a sooner check. a first-timer reads that as set dressing and leaves it alone. i only learned the trade by reading the code. show the cost: a count, a flash, a line.
2) the finish feels arbitrary. i hit 100% and got taken out by a random footsteps, not the final one, so "work done" and "you lost" landed in the same second. if the final check is the boss, maybe hold random checks near 100%.
also "hold the charger" is flavour only, it's just another toggle. gg though, the room reads well.
