WAIT, A SALMON RACING HOME UPSTREAM?! 🐟🌊😂🔥
This is such a fun and hilarious interpretation of “The Long Way Home”! Turning the salmon’s real-life journey back to its birthplace into a race is a really clever idea, and the rhythm/timing gameplay fits the swimming theme surprisingly well. The opening cutscene and humor also give the game a lot of personality, and I really liked the homemade presentation and intense music.
The biggest thing I’d improve is the jump/timing feedback. It can be hard to tell exactly when the correct moment is, so a stronger visual indicator, timing zone, or more obvious animation could make the mechanic much easier to understand while still keeping the challenge. A skip option for the intro on replay would also be a nice little quality-of-life addition.
