...I mean... there IS a quick save that requires "one" press of the "QuickSave" button located at the bottom-left of your screen. It is directly left of your player icon and requires no prerequisite. The only reason you'd be unable to use the quick save is because you were playing in"Ironman mode" which disables saving. If that was the case, disable "Ironman mode" and "QuickSave" after every meaningful encounter.
