Howling roots you in place, and the echo the hunter follows scales with how long you held: a tap is a cheap peek, a long stare gets you hunted, and the noise bar shows the tail so the escape leg is visible. If you played an earlier build and lost to dawn with zero howls, that early game is the part I most want to hear about.
