Quite a fun idea! The control of the root is rather difficult at first, but you get used to it. I still wish there was some way to run the root on the surface, so that you could clearly see where it is.
I do think that running the root on the surface would definitely improve its ease of use. My original idea was having more things to do or avoid while underground with the root, but I was not able to limited time. I appreciate the comment!
