Sacrifice is a two-page game that runs on the same sort of engine as Polaris.

It's a universal system, so you can use it to tell any story, but the core mechanic is that if a character wants to do something that it has not been established in the story they can do, they must give up something of themselves to succeed.

Unlike Polaris, the player offers, not the GM, which is a nice twist.

Overall, I'd recommend this to anyone who is interested in stripping down RPGs to their core element, or in telling stories that are intrinsically about struggle and tragedy.
