It’s an addictive game—I got hooked for an hour and beat the boss. Everything’s pretty good, but it needs further development; it was missing background music and a pause button.

Thanks for playing! Hearing that you spent an hour with the game and defeated the boss is honestly the best feedback I could ask for. I've added both things you mentioned. You can pause by pressing [P] or clicking the ⏸ button in the header. Background music is in too: one track for normal fights and one for the boss, plus short themes on the title, clear and game-over screens. You can turn the music off with the “♪ Music on / off” button on the title screen. (You may need to reload the page once to get the new build.)
