Obligatory jam page limit question!

Hi, I'm here to start the chain of jam participants trying to squeeze in more pages!

Does the page count include a cover or the legal appendix? I.e. if I was to submit an entry with a cover, 4 A4 pages of game content and a page of legalese and ogl statements, would that be alright?

Cheers,

Great question. I'll update the rules to address this. But to answer your question:

- As long as the cover is purely a cover (no other content) it does not count towards the limit

- Likewise if you have a page that is purely legalese (and credits) that does not count towards the limit either.

Brilliant, thanks!

As a follow up to this question, would a trifold pamphlet be ok? Since four A4 pages is a two sided piece of letter paper, a pamphlet is about the same size I believe. I know the Appx N Jam allowed that.

Short answer: Yes that's fine.

Long answer: Some of the details can be a bit confusing because of the differences between US and Euro sizes. And technically a trifold isn't a size, it's a format ;)
But I'm assuming you mean a letter-sized trifold (the size most Mothership trifolds are).
Letter is slightly smaller than A4. So you could submit two letter-sized trifolds and still be below the submission limit.

If you want to be really sure, just make it an A4 trifold rather than a letter-sized trifold.

I hope that wasn't confusing!

I had a brain fart and was thinking the limit was four a5 pages, not a4 pages. That changes my approach. Thanks!

All good!
