how do you start with the toolgun i start with nothing and when i enter the singleplayer game it says that it is a dedicated server, is there a fix to this?

It doesn't work for me, when i try to enter multiplayer, it just shows this error even though my network is completely fine, and the game is a fresh install, and then when i go to singleplayer it still shows the modified game data error. i also sometimes get an error that says "Fatal error in GC: Collecting from unknown thread" when i run the game, it might be linked to the other ingame errors but im not sure. i hope someone knows the fix to this
