Just a heads-up that I played this on a MacBook Air using the trackpad, so please keep that in mind for some of the control feedback!
First of all, I really liked the sound design. Hearing both my character and the opponent actually having voices added a lot, and the background music was great too. It honestly made me realize how much Iāve been neglecting sound in my own game.
While playing, I kept thinking this could feel really good with an analog stick and some controller vibration feedback. Iām not sure if it was mainly because I was using a trackpad, but the whole spinning mechanic feels like something that could be especially satisfying with a gamepad. Is controller support / vibration already possible? I donāt have a controller with me right now, so unfortunately I couldnāt test that.
I also think thereās something really fun about applying the physical motion of rotating an analog stick directly to this kind of gameplay mechanic.
The waifu art style is definitely pretty niche. Personally I tend to prefer softer styles like Blue Archive, so it isnāt exactly my taste, but I can absolutely see it working well for people who are into this particular style.
Also, considering this is a web game, everything felt surprisingly responsive. Moving between screens was quick and immediate, and overall it feels very well optimized.
Iām still not very familiar with this type of game, so maybe Iām missing some of the deeper strategy, but after hitting the opponent a few times I actually won because they flew out of the arena. It seems like there are probably two main approaches: knocking the opponent out of bounds or reducing their HP directly. That distinction seems like it could create some interesting strategy once you understand the mechanics better.
