Hey, I downloaded both the game jam and recent builds of this game, and I might just be dense, but I haven't been able to see any fish in the central pool of the bell, much less catch them.
Based on intuition, as well as reading the gamepage and the Gameplay tips in the menu, I'm under the impression that it's a sort of balancing act - turn on the heat lamp and normal lights to draw in fish, catch them, then eat them or grind them up into oil to manage your hunger or power the generator, respectively. Also, keep an eye on the ripples in the water, and if they get too big, cut out the lights for a bit to avoid being crushed by a Titan.
I may be a bit off, but that's the idea I got, which sounds super cool! But like I said, I haven't encountered any fish, as far as I can tell. When you turn the heatlamps up to full intensity and interact with the pool (or wait without interacting with the pool), is there any reason I shouldn't see a fish? Am I overlooking a step? There's a very good chance this is just a me problem, but I'd appreciate some pointers! Thank you!
