This is a very clean little score-attack game built around one idea: tap to fall faster, then brake before becoming a physics demonstration.
Simple, immediately understandable, and surprisingly tense.
I accelerated a refrigerator to 467 km/h and slammed it directly into the ground, so clearly the equipment was working as intended 😏 On a later attempt, I reached about 293 km/h and stopped 3338mm above the ground. That confirmed the important part of the design: braking is not instant, so speed, timing, and momentum genuinely matter.
The three-attempt structure works well. It gives you one attempt to learn, one to get overconfident, and one to actually focus. The Courage Score also gives you a reason to balance speed against stopping distance instead of simply braking safely.
I really like the presentation. The dark colors, formal typography, physics equation, and serious tone contrast perfectly with the character falling inside a refrigerator, attached to a meteorite, or dangling from a balloon. The equipment having identical performance is also a smart choice. It keeps the competition fair while adding personality.
My biggest issue is localization. The instructions have an English option, but most of the title, equipment, gameplay, results, and ranking interface remains Japanese. Completing the English translation would make the game much easier to follow internationally.
The instructions are also more detailed than this kind of game needs upfront. I’d separate them into a short “Tap, brake, survive, best of three” explanation, then keep the scoring formula and precision rules under advanced details.
The itch page could use more presentation too. Add the screenshots from the jam submission, plus a short GIF showing the entire loop: acceleration, panic, braking, success or impact. The game is simple enough that one good GIF could explain everything instantly.
I’d also keep the previous equipment selected between attempts or add a random option. Since equipment is cosmetic, returning to a full selection step every time adds a little unnecessary friction.
Overall, this is focused, funny, and built around a score system that gives the simple premise real replay value. Finish the localization, simplify the onboarding, and let the itch page show more of the personality that is already inside the game.
Also, thanks for playing my game and taking the time to leave feedback. I genuinely appreciate it!
