No idea to be frank, partly because "finished" is fuzzy for me on top of meaning a few things for the game. Here's a barebones timeline for you though.

Current plan

  • Get the large number of actively worked on monsters narrowed down to 3 (give or take) by finishing the monsters that are already in game. We are well on track to have this happen by the end of the year. Then when any of those active 3 gets finished, we add a new monster.
  • Focus on finishing the story, which takes finishing a few map areas (90% completed), adding needed monster for the story (3 or 4 I think), and all the stuff that it takes for a mission like the large amount of story writing and the code to get it in game.
  • Add more small side missions where possible. Not even sure how much will get added. We plan to basically survey whats in the game already and use side missions to fill out neglected areas.
  • Fill out areas with more monsters. We would like 2-3 standard monsters that aren't in other areas and 1 Unique* monster per normal map area (not including caves and the likes).

You could say it's technically finished with story, or content complete after all side missions, or game completed after all monsters added. But even after all that and the next project starts and I move on from this game, I'll probably still hop back into the game and make more stuff every once in a while. Like I said, I can't really pin down complete. A very very rough estimate on story completion, maybe 3-4 years since it will take up to 4 needed monster release for the story on top of everything.

* Since the concept is only half implement currently, Uniques are monsters that you can only capture one of, have extra base outfit parts (Cow, Fox, Golem, etc) and have side missions tied to their love levels. 0.3.36 will actually see the cow get her side mission stuff added.
