So to be clear this is, like, 90s DBZ style specifically? Shonen anime is about thirty years older than that, so 'retro' is not the clearest description.

I think the names "Old-School Shonen" plus "Retro Anime" are a very clear description of the type of sounds I want to emulate, there's a very clear video showcasing the sounds, plus you can just download and check for yourself what'd be the best description for the sounds in question to decide whether or not it'd fit your project.
I'm not trying to publish historically accurate sound libraries. Whenever a regular game dev wants that type of shonen sound effects, they'd search for terms like "retro" or "old-school" or any keyword like that.
But if you want to be highly specific: I'm using an emulator of the ARP-2600 to make a good amount of the sounds present here, and effects emulating old analog gear that were present in the 70's when this specific type of sound design was popularized by the company Fizz Sound Creation. The ARP-2600 and the actual sound recordings from that synth between 1971-1981 were largely used all around the industry by Fizz Sound. Some of these sounds were released as an album called Sound of Anime.
Not only that, I emulated the sound design pipeline pioneered by the scorers for the film Forbidden Planet which where the founding fathers of electronic sound design for media. Those types of sounds were later adopted by japanese sound design companies.
'Retro' is a very clear description of the sounds in this library, but if you want the authentic 1960s Astro Boy sound effects you can just buy the Sound Idea's Hanna-Barbera Sound Effects Library.
Whoops, that came out crankier than I'd meant it to! Thank you, sincerely, for the history lesson.
(It's reasonable to call things retro if they're in the style of anything published twenty to sixty years ago, because 'retro' means something like 'older than twenty and younger than a hundred'; I just wish more precision were standard - I haven't had access to most of the classics I'd like to, but I suspect a sound library aiming for the vibes of Speed Racer (1967) is going to be closer to something based on the vibes of Sonic X (2003) than either is to Anne of Green Gables (1979), regardless of hardware. Alas, that copyright law works the way it does.)
