First of all, great job. The game has turned out to be incredibly sweet in every aspect. The music, the artwork, the game's flow, the effects, and the mechanics... I loved all of them. I didn't encounter any bugs, but after playing for a while, the game suddenly crashed on its own. This happened while I was working on the 3rd or 4th case.
- The game's desktop icon didn't show up for me. I'm not sure if this is a general issue or just something on my end.
- In the tutorial, when explaining how to select the second character and place them on the grid, the phrase "select character, press and hold..." is very prone to misunderstanding. It might be better to change it to something like "press the character profile, hold...". I got stuck there for a moment (I had a friend play it too, and they got stuck in the exact same spot and asked me what to do).
- What did you use for the English translation? I feel like the text isn't clear enough.
- The music is good, but two sound effects (SFX) caught my attention. The pencil scratching sound that plays when we mark the characters' names is nice, but it is way too long. Also, the success chime at the end of a level feels like it belongs in an ancient or temple-themed game.
- The "visual help" feature is a very sweet idea. However, for the harder levels, it might be better if it is turned off by default and instead provided as a hint when we get stuck. (I'm not entirely sure about this idea, though.)
- I didn't find it very logical that the row and column are completely blocked off when a character is placed. Making it so obvious whether we made a mistake or not can be a bit annoying. Additionally, seeing giant 'X' marks across the row and column when confirming a character's placement is visually jarring. It causes a sudden distraction, making you think, "What just happened?"
- It wouldn't be a bad idea to have a compass in the top right corner or somewhere within our field of view during a level. When directions are mentioned, it can be unclear exactly what is being referred to. Also, I found it a bit confusing that directions are given strictly as East or South rather than North-East, South-West, etc.
- I think setting the game's primary language to English would be better for appealing to a broader audience.
