Lawn is building something really special, here, with a world and characters that feel exquisitely lived-in. I come away from these first chapters imagining I've hiked through miles of treacherous forest just to stumble into an undisturbed slice of the old world and it's exactly as rich and textured as I'd fantasized it would be. Yeah, I'm biased, but do yourself a favor and trust me: this will be a story to remember.
