what is the size of this ?

I'm not sure I understand the question? There are 16 monsters total. Most of them are 16x16. A few are a little bit larger, or have individual frames that are larger. One is made of segmented parts that are individually 16x16.

Thank you, I should  say canvas size earlier. Just curious question why 16x16 is so popular for topdown ? With an upscale of 3 most of this will kind of "pixelated" on screen that are > 1280 ?

Well, in my case, these are sprites made to emulate the gameboy aesthetic from the '90s. The pixelated look is sort of the point!

(To answer your question, the original gameboy screen was 160x144. I got my start playing Zelda fangames in an engine that uses a 256x224 resolution. I tend to play with 2x zoom, but obviously that's still not anywhere close to fullscreen.)

But even outside of that, people selling assets here are generally going to converge on a couple specific sizes. If you hire dedicated artists to make a game, then yeah, they can work at whatever resolution you want. But someone who's buying assets needs them to fit together coherently. That'd make more niche sizes harder to use, and potentially harder to sell, I'd expect?

Thank you for your patience and explaination ? This style is really awesome. Do you take commision and how can I contact you ?

Potentially! I use the same name on Discord as I do here.
