I think this track conveys the emotions you're talking about very effectively and I like the percussion a lot. I think some of the instruments seem a little disconnected from about 45 to 55 seconds in but it doesn't last long.
Thank you for the comment! Now that you point it out I kinda agree with your comment. I only started using a DAW recently, so it has been quite challenging to get the sounds right.
